Together in the endKagome sat in her room all day, sitting in the corner of her bed, holding her soft pillow close to her as she stared out her window. She had told her mother that she was too sick to go to school, yet she knew that wasn’t true. There was something in Kagome’s expression that told her, Souta, and their grandfather that something was wrong. None of them bothered to ask what was wrong. Kagome would probably say, “No, nothing’s wrong,” wearing a forced smile as she held back her tears, and then she would try to run or hurry into her room.
